Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is intended for healthcare professionals who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units that encounter pediatric patients on a regular basis.
PALS uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.
The goal of this course is to prepare healthcare providers caring for pediatric patients to give them the tools to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory &/or cardiac emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest.
All formats are taught by American Heart Association (AHA) certified instructors and follow the AHA guidelines for the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years.
PALS is an advanced course for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children, such as personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.
The course is available to all students.
Successful students receive an AHA eCertification valid for two years. The certification will be issued to the email you use to register for the class.**
