Wilderness First Responder - Women Only
Course Description
Women-Only Wilderness First Responder course prepares you to assess injuries and illness, provide care with limited equipment, and make informed decisions about evacuation.
Designed for women who love the outdoors, this five-day course welcomes participants with or without a medical background. For EMTs and paramedics, it offers an opportunity to bring existing clinical skills into wilderness settings, where communication, equipment and access to help can be limited.
Learn from experienced women wilderness and austere providers through demonstrations, hands-on practice and realistic outdoor scenarios. Along the way, instructors share practical tips, tricks and techniques developed through their work in challenging environments.
Our women-only learning environment makes room for candid questions, repeated practice and confidence built through experience. Explore different approaches, learn alongside other outdoor women, and develop skills you can carry into your next adventure.
